Advocating for Fair Trade Regulations in Outdoor Gear Imports
OREA is working with U.S. trade officials to secure fair import tariffs on raw materials used by outdoor gear manufacturers, ensuring a competitive edge for our members.
Last week, OREA leadership met with key members of the U.S. Trade Representative’s Office to advocate for fair trade practices that impact outdoor gear manufacturers. Our goal is to ensure that tariffs on imported raw materials, such as high-performance textiles, do not negatively affect small and mid-sized outdoor apparel businesses. By pushing for revised tariffs and trade agreements, we aim to create a level playing field that enables American companies to stay competitive while maintaining the highest quality standards.
We will continue these discussions with Congressional representatives and work toward a resolution that benefits our members.
